BOIL YOUR TAP WATER Failure to follow this advisory could result in stomach or intestinal illness. The Town of Exmore Water System, in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Health and the Northampton County Health Department, is advising consumers to use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution. At 8 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, water will be turned off to repair a leak. Water service will be restored as soon as possible. Updates will be posted here, as well as on the town's Facebook page .

Around 10 AM on December 15, 2025, water was turned off to repair a leak near the tower. Staff is working diligently to repair the leak and restore water service. Updates will be posted here, as well as on the town's Facebook page . As of 11 AM, water service has been restored.

The Fire Department will escort Santa Claus on the evenings of Sunday December 14 through Wednesday December 17 starting around 6 PM each night. Santa will walk in front of the fire engine to visit families in town. Kids accompanied by their parents are invited to come out and join the festivities.
